The most difficult part of this recipe is getting everything out and ready to be put into the pan. Lowfat, a good source of iron & protein. Yummy, satisfying and quick! 1 onion, any variety, fist sized, chopped or diced, depending on your preference 1 green pepper, chopped or diced, depending on your preference 1/4 c. blackstrap molasses 1/4 c. yellow mustard 2-8oz. packages tempeh, crumbled 2 T. apple cider vinegar 2 T. organic tamari 1 t. onion powder 2 T. organic brown sugar 1 t. liquid smoke 1 1/2 c. organic ketchup 1/4-1/2 t. cayenne 1/2 t. black pepper 1 vegetarian "beef" bouillon cube extra virgin olive oil, or cooking spray 1. Over medium heat, saute the onion and green pepper until the onion is translucent. 2. Add in the rest of the ingredients, stir thoroughly, and bring to boil over medium high heat. Turn heat to low. If it gets too thick, add in a little water. Simmer until the onion and pepper are very tender. Serve on a hamburger bun with coleslaw on top!
